1610 – Galileo Galilei discovers Jupiter’s moons.
Galileo observed in the sky what turned out to be the main satellites of the planet Jupiter: Io, Europa, Ganymede which was followed a few days later by the fourth, Callisto. The historical observation made a decisive contribution to the heliocentric theory against the Ptolemaic theory that placed the Earth at the center of everything.

At the end of 2022, Elon Musk ceded the first position of the ranking, drawn up daily by Bloomberg Billionaires Index, to the patron of LVMH, Bernard Arnault. Musk in 2022 “lost” 200 billion dollars.
